bio
Three years ago Joseph Logsdon, pop singer song writer, packed everything he owned into his car and moved from his hometown of Keokuk, Iowa to Nashville, TN. He ended up sleeping on the floors of several Nashville area recording studios for the opportunity to learn and write. The music that came out of the experience is a delicate negotiation between melancholy lyrics and uplifting pop arrangements which convey stories of lost love and optimism for the future. His new record “Just This Once” is a reaction to the separation and loss he experienced being away from his loved ones and living in his car during his first years in Nashville. Despite early hardships during his first years in Nashville, Logsdon's musical prose remains optimistic and sweet despite dark lyrical content. This is real music, for real people, with real lives. It's also an opportunity for the listeners to hear something that was created all the skill and talent found in a major label projects without the creative limitations that are imposed by corporate forces.

"An excellent record that showcases unique instrument choices, vocals reminiscent of The Pernice Brothers, crunchy guitars, deliciously catchy tunes, and ballads worthy of the final dance at prom."
-BrookeWaggoner "
On first hearing Joseph, I found myself remembering why I got into the business. His music is both fresh and rewarding. His vocals and musical arrangements draw from a vast palette of the past and present luring one to listen over and over again,"
-said Multiple Grammy winning engineer, John Jaszcz
"Logsdon's music has a simple complexity to it that reveals more with each listen and keeps me wanting to come back for more. The production values are top shelf throughout."
-Paul Gambill - Music Director, Nashville Ballet.
"There is a place on radio for Joseph's music. The production is sumptuous without veering into smarm, and the songs hold up through repeated listenings. Joseph's arrangements roll out flush with texture and delightfully unexpected twists, ideal for this tuneful material exploring the complexity of human relationships. Worth a careful listen."
